Iraq Oil and Trading
Petroleum remains UB Holding’s most significant business line and we conduct our petroleum-related activities via our affiliate company, Iraq Oil.
We transport these products to Erbil and Zakho with our affiliate transit shipment company Burak Logistics to meet the needs of Iraq Oil stations and local markets in Iraq.
Operating out of Erbil with offices in Istanbul and Dubai, Iraq Oil is a global commodity trading company that exports Iraqi-origin crude oil, fuel oil, naphtha and condensate to multiple destinations via Turkish ports such as Delta Dörtyol, Toros Ceyhan and Mersin.
Iraq Oil also imports gasoil, gasoline and Jet A-1 from Turkish ports and well-known international oil trading companies and refineries. We transport these products to Erbil and Zakho with our affiliate transit shipment company Burak Logistics to meet the needs of Iraq Oil stations and local markets in Northern Iraq.
Iraq Oil’s storage terminals are designed to meet the company’s expanded activities and high internal operating standards. All our storage facilities comply with international health, safety, and environmental standards.
UB Holding brings together the most recent developments in storage technology with Iraq Oil’s 10-year technical experience to offer service substructures such as a private tanker heating system, commodity exchange, blending, additive injection, at-site inspections, quick loading-unloading and a truck-loading gantry system – all of which add real, measurable value and enhance our customers’ efficiency, profitability and competitiveness.
The company currently owns three petroleum storage and handling terminals:
- Erbil, with a capacity of 90,000 metric tons.
- Zakho, with a capacity of 16,000 metric tons.
- Shinava, a modern storage and distribution terminal with a capacity of 110,000 metric tons.
Our terminals are laboratory equipped with the highest technology to ensure reliable test results, and our automatic gauging system has been in commission since 2013. All storages are equipped with level and temperature sensors.
The ATG (Automatic Tank Gauging System) and HHLA (High High Level Alarm) systems in place eliminate human error. The system is designed to display information and detail parameters on a tank-by-tank or group-of-tanks basis. It provides the opportunity to control terminal operations at all levels and increase our Tank Farm Management performance.
Iraq Oil owns and operates many fuel stations throughout the region, boasting a broad retail distribution network.
